Invensys is a multinational company that manufactures various engineering products under titles such as Avantis, Wonderware and SimSci. Invensys SimSci-Esscor brand new Schneider Electric SimSci, developed in collaboration with Schneider Electric, is a suite of fluid flow design and simulation software, performing calculations, analysis, optimization and production planning in chemical units. It consists of three parts of SimSci Design ؛ including design and simulation programs, SimSci Operate ؛ with simulation tools for better training and understanding, SimSci Optimize ؛ including process optimization programs, and SimSci Spiral, including project management software and production cost estimates, Composed. One of the most important software in this series is SimSci PRO / II.

For the design and simulation section, several different software are presented and we present and present the five main and most used applications;

The hardware and software requirements for this suite have not been made public by the manufacturer, but are compatible with different versions in terms of Windows compatibility.


Installation guide

Installation PRO / II 10, 10.2 and DYNSIM 5.3.2 are included in the Readme file, all of which are identical to previous versions.

SimSci PRO / II software:

Start the software installation and select FlexNet 11.8 during installation and continue installation. Copy and paste the FlxNet11.dll file into the following default paths:

32-bit Windows:

C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ SIMSCISI \ MSCICFI50 \ VC090x32 \ bin

64-bit Windows:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ SIMSCI \ SIMSCICFI50 \ VC090x32 \ bin

Copy and paste the License.dat file into the following default paths:

32-bit Windows:

C: \ Program Files \ SIMSCI \ PROII94 \ Bin

64-bit Windows:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ SIMSCI \ PROII94 \ Bin

Run the Edit the system environment variables file and click on Environment Variables. In the System variable, click New and enter the following values:


Variable value: C: \ Program Files \ SIMSCI \ PROII94 \ Bin \ license.dat

And for 64-bit Windows:

Variable value: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ SIMSCIP \ ROII94 \ Bin \ license.dat

Other Software:

Run the Setup_DownLoadLy.iR.exe file by installing the software, and during installation, select the default FELEXlm 9.5 option and enter the following in the License Server section; enter your computer name instead of DOWNLOADLY-IR.


Complete the installation and then copy the contents of the Crack folder to the root of the installation location by default C: SIMSCI ;

Run the lmtools.exe file and go to the Config Services tab and enter the address of the three required files as follows:

Service Name = SimSci_DownLoadLy.iR

Path to the lmgrd = C: \ SIMSCI \ lmgrd.exe

Path to the license = C: \ SIMSCI \ License_DownLoadLy.iR.dat

Path to the log = C: \ SIMSCI \ Log_DownLoadLy.iR.log

Select Use Services and then Start Server at Power Up and click Save Service. Finally, go to the Start / Stop / Reread tab and click Start Server; instead, you can run the Start_DownLoadLy.iR.cmd file each time you run the software, and then run the software.

The username and password for running DYNSIM software is simsci .

Earlier versions were installed and successfully activated on Windows 10 64-bit on 23 October 2017.

Version 10.2 is installed and successfully activated on Windows 10 64-bit on 17 January 2019.

Version 2021 is installed and successfully activated on Windows 10 64-bit on 30 June 2022.

      I’d recommend installing on a virtual machine with Windows 10 Pro. Might be supported with previous versions of Windows, but testing would be needed.

      kevin. Please notice the following: While searching online, I found that HEXTRAN, at least, seems like a discontinued program. The last version included here, 9.2, was released on 2009. Windows 10 was released on 2015. As such, I’d suspect incompatibility issues with the operating system. My recommendations are as such:
      Try installing it on a system with windows 7 pro, if that fails, go back to windows vista and maybe even windows xp. Easiest with virtual machines.
      If all else fails, I’d go to a different simulator: Fluid flow and heat exchanger calculations can be done with the AspenONE package, the downside being it’s quite harder to crack correctly and the files are considerably larger. If you only need heat exchanger design I was recommended the HTRI software, which also seems to be available here on downloadly. I have windows 10 and windows xp virtual machines, so I’ll try to install HEXTRAN on both this weekend. Please tell us if you were successful in any attempt, I’ll also share my findings.
